About the class

Guitar is an elective class offered to high school students. Students do not need any prior musical experience to take this course. 

In this course, students will learn the basic music theory needed to read guitar music. They will learn about the parts of the guitar and their functions, as well as how to play notes and chords. Students will work independently at their own pace, with at least 1 weekly lesson with the instructor.

Students will have some type of performance opportunity when taking the course.
