About the class

Guitar is offered to any high school student, regardless of music knowledge or ability. This is a  both a group and self-paced course: new things will be introduced in a group setting, and students will be given time to work independently. Students that are able to move on faster will move at their own pace. Students will learn to read notes and chord symbols, play individual notes on each string, play melodies, and strum chord accompaniment to a variety of songs. Students will set goals for each quarter of what they want to learn and accomplish in the course. Students can take this course for multiple semesters if they choose.
