About the ensemble

High school jazz band is a voluntary ensemble that is available to all members of the high school concert band. Jazz band will rehearse before schools from 7:15-7:50 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We will perform at district jazz festival, the HS Pops concert, and the Parade of Bands concert. We will play a variety of swing, rock, ballad, and pop tunes. Students will have the opportunity to work on improvisational solos, and improve their music literacy in the jazz style.
