Boosters

The purpose of the East Hampton High School (EHHS) Music Booster Club is to support the EHHS music department activities and aid in the promotion of the EHHS music program. This includes band, chorus, flag team and drill team. We fundraise through concession stands at concerts and hold one major fundraiser each year known as the Cabaret. All parents/guardians of current EHHS music department students are automatically members of the Boosters. There are no dues for membership. Members of the Booster Club and students provide supplies for concessions stands and volunteer to work at the Cabaret fundraiser. Most activities are held at East Hampton High School. Besides fundraising, the Boosters assist the High School music directors with managerial duties such as uniform maintenance, instrument maintenance, and care of materials.

Three concerts are held each school year. In addition, Cabaret takes place in March or April each year. Concert events can take up to 3 hours which includes set up, sales and clean up. The Cabaret event itself takes several months of planning and the event is 4 hours. Boosters meet once per month for approximately 1 hour. Additionally, Booster volunteers will assist the marching band during parades.

To date, the Boosters have helped to purchase equipment, instruments and concert attire. In addition, per bylaws, the Boosters can provide financial assistance to a student in need after school funds have been exhausted.
