Students will earn buzz bucks when when the teacher or any other adult in the building observes positive behavior. Behaviors can include, but are not limited to: being a good role model, helping the teacher or a friend, showing kindness, participating in class, making good choices.
Students will write their name on their buzz bucks and put them in the class container. Each Friday, the teacher will randomly pull two buzz bucks and those students will choose a prize. All buzz bucks will go down to the grade level bin at the end of each week.
As a group, the class can also earn "puzzle pieces" by receiving compliments from other adults in the building, such as administrators, teachers, or parents. Once the puzzle is completed, students will see what prize they've earned.
