Birthdays

To celebrate and symbolize birthdays, this year I am having the kids do a 'Birthday Walk Around the Sun.’  To celebrate their birthday with our class, the birthday child will walk around a pretend sun to represent the number of years they've traveled around the sun.  For example, a student turning 8 would walk around our pretend sun 8 times to represent how old they are.  I thought it would be fun and meaningful to show the class a picture of the birthday honoree for each of their years as they complete each lap around the sun -  a picture of when they were born, a picture at 1 year old, a picture at 2 years old, etc.  This is where your help comes in!  If it wouldn’t be too much trouble, could you share these pictures of your child?  You could email me pictures, send them through Class Dojo, send in hard copies, do a little of all three options - whatever is easiest for you!! Just let me know what picture goes with each year.
