The East Greenwich Township School District offers select students, based on multiple measures, the opportunity to participate in an advanced Pre-Algebra class during their 6th grade year at Samuel Mickle. This class comprehensively covers the 6th grade math curriculum while also teaching 7th & 8th grade standards. The class is designed to benefit students who comprehend mathematics at a faster pace as compared to their peers, who continually strive to identify mathematical connections within the world around them, and who thrive from challenging learning experiences. 

Additionally, through a partnership established with Kingsway Regional School District, students that pass the 6th grade Pre-Algebra class will have the opportunity to be enrolled in Algebra as a 7th grader at Kingsway Regional Middle School.  

***This is not the only accelerated math program available at Kingsway Middle School.  Students who do not take Math 7 in 6th grade will still have an opportunity upon entering Kingsway to accelerate their math program. ***
