The English Language Services program is designed to improve English with reading, writing, speaking, and listening for ELLs. The East Greenwich District's ELS program is supervised by Mrs. Lisa Giorgianni (giorgiannil@eastgreenwich.k12.nj.us; 856-423-0412 ext. 1070)
The English Language Services program is offered to children whose native language is not English from grades K-6 at both schools in East Greenwich Township. When you register your child for school, you complete a home language survey. If your answers meet the criteria, you and your child will be contacted by the English Language Services teacher to evaluate your child’s proficiency in English. The teacher will interview and assess your child to determine if he or she should be placed in the English Language Services program.
Mrs. Dana Kemner (kemnerd@eastgreenwich.k12.nj.us ; 856-423-0412 ext. 3403) provides the ELS services for students in our district. She provides individual, small group, and push-in supports.
