Update - 7/25/24 5:10 p.m.
All Dotsero residents are cleared to return to their homes and power has been restored.
Gas has been shut off within the affected area and all conditions were made safe at approximately 3:40 p.m.
Black Hills Energy crews are currently on site and working to investigate the cause of damage to the gas line and make repairs. Gas service to 16 customers will be restored as soon as the gas line is repaired.
Two Rivers Community Center is now closed as an evacuation location.

Power has been shut off to the evacuation area. First aid is available at the Two Rivers Community Center should evacuees need it.

The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office and 3 fire engines from Gypsum Fire Protection District and Greater Eagle Fire Protection District are on scene at the gas leak in Dotsero.
Residents of Brook Trout Loop and Cut Throat Loop are currently being evacuated and crews are working on isolating the gas leak.
Two Rivers Community Center is currently open for evacuees and pets are allowed as long as they are under their owners control.

Public safety officials are issuing a MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER for Dotsero - Brook Trout Loop and Cut Throat Loop due to a Gas Leak. Everyone in the impacted area must leave immediately.
1. Assemble all family members and pets
2. Gather important documents, photos, computers and irreplaceable items
3. Pack essentials such as prescriptions and eyeglasses. Don't forget cash and credit/debit cards
