Parliamentary Procedure

Parlimentary Procedure is the set of Rules that defines committee. Committee will follow several "stages" in which different motions will be presented to further debate. Delegates will present and vote on motions that will define what happen next. Motions are voted on in order of most to least disruptive.

Here you will find information on the basics of BSBMUN parliamentary procedure. Most BSBMUN committees follow these rules. However, if you will be participating in an unconventional committee or a court, please note that your Chair will likely delineate an alternate set of rules. Be sure to view the parliamentary procedure presentation, read the study guide, and reach out to your respective chair for any questions.
