NYS Resources for School Success and Activities for Early Learners

Participants will walk through the new NYSED Office of Early Learning Resource for School Success publications and video series for grades Pre-K - 2, and be given an overview of the importance and benefits of play for early learners. We will then explore and discuss resources and activity ideas, and see where they could fit in our classrooms and in our new world of virtual learning.

This session will introduce participants to an on-demand creation of a Science Journal that is specific to task and purpose. Participants will hear an overview of the On-Demand Science Journals and view the menu of options. They will discover how to create their own as well as add their own material to the journals they create for their students.

Emergency Remote Teaching requires a different approach to instruction, being that it occurs at a distance from our students. This session will introduce the basics of Emergency Remote Teaching and use the power of the participants to flesh out methodologies for introducing phenomena to students at a distance.
