Using Inquiry to Establish Background Knowledge

Cross Curricular Choice Boards for the NYSSLS

We will share how Choice Boards based in the NYSSLS will provide you with the opportunities to incorporate other content areas into Science all while focusing on your Disciplinary Core Ideas, Cross Cutting Concepts and Science Engineering Practices.
iMap Invasives in Your Backyard
Emily Caboot, Laura LehtonenStudents will need a phone and an app to collect neighborhood or backyard data on invasive plant populations. We will review the resources on the NYSED and DEC websites to support this short unit and also have a quick overview of the iMap Invasives app in a backyard filled with invasive plants! Come outside with us!
