1896 Established as the “Unebi Branch of Nara Prefectural Unebi Jinjo Junior High School”
1901 Renamed as “Nara Prefectural Unebi Junior High School”
1933 Completed construction of the main building
1948 Renamed as “Nara Prefectural Unebi High School” Implementation co-education
1949 Began offering part time courses
1955 Completed construction of the library
1956 60th Anniversary of Unebi High School
1960 Completed construction of the swimming pool
1967 70th Anniversary of Unebi High School Completed construction of the gymnasium
1976 80th Anniversary of Unebi High School
Completed construction of the Kinshi-Kaikan Alumni Association Hall
1986 90th Anniversary of Unebi High School
Completed construction of the new south building, archives, and library
1989 Completed construction of the training room for kakugi (traditional Japanese martial arts),
physical education office, locker rooms, club rooms, and tennis court
1996 100th Anniversary of Unebi High School Completed construction of the Bunka-Sozokan School Hall
2004 Consolidated with Nara Prefectural Miminashi High School
2005 Created a new school emblem
2006 110th Anniversary of Unebi High School
2014 Designated as a “Super Global High School” (SGH) by the Ministry of Education,
Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT)
2016 120th Anniversary of Unebi High School
