Dance Rules

1. The D-Y Homecoming Dance is run for the benefit and enjoyment of our students.

2. In order to attend the Homecoming Dance a student must be a D-Y student in grades 9-12

3. All D-Y students must be in school on Friday, October 17th, 2025 in order to attend the dance. Students who are suspended may not attend the dance.

4. Students with outstanding disciplinary obligations are not eligible to attend the dance.

5. Students may arrive at the dance between 6:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Students who arrive after 7:15 p.m. will not be allowed admittance.

6. Attendees may be required to submit to a breath or other tests before, during or leaving the dance. Any indication of alcohol or other drugs in the system or refusal to submit to the tests will result in removal from dance and disciplinary action by the school administration.

7. All attendees must comply with all Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School rules, regulations and guidelines. District policies are also in effect. Failure to do so will result in removal from the dance.

8. All attendees must be in formal attire (button down shirts, ties, dresses, dress pants, and skirts). Dress/skirt length is to be appropriate and necklines should not be revealing. NO BAGS ALLOWED

9. “Freak Dancing,” “Dirty Dancing” or “grinding” is not allowed.

10. Students without their own transportation should be picked up from the dance no later than 9:30 p.m.

11. Massachusetts law is always in full effect, the D-Y Police Services Unit and The Yarmouth Police will be on hand to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.
