Welcome to my exhibition. My exhibition topic is how social media affects mental health specifically body image. The reason I chose this topic is because my generation is growing up all around social media and it is really difficult to never come in contact with social media. It has been shown that Instagram is the worst for your mental health and body image because Instagram heavily relies on image. I really hope you leave my exhibition knowing to be careful on social media and spend less time on social media.

El tema de mi exposición se trata del impacto de las redes sociales sobre la salud mental y específicamente la imagen corporal.La razón por la que elegí este tema es porque mi generación está creciendo alrededor de las redes sociales y es muy difícil no entrar en contacto con las redes sociales.Se ha demostrado que Instagram es lo peor para la salud mental y la imagen corporal porque Instagram depende en gran medida de la imagen. Realmente espero que dejes mi exposición sabiendo que tu necesitas tener cuidado con las redes sociales y pasar gastas menos tiempo en las redes sociales.

This is my specialist integration for my exhibition. It is a phone with social media on it sucking the person in. The reason for this piece is because social media has an algorithm that when you like a post it shows more of what you liked so it makes you spend a lot more time on social media. If you spend too much time on social media it can make you feel really lonely.
Action
For my action I did a puppet show with Maciek. The reason we did this puppet show is because we thought that a puppet show would be a fun and entertaining way to get our message and topic across. I made the puppets with Maciek called Meghan,Mathew and Monica/Mum. I controlled the puppets and Maciek wrote and said the script.
