About Mrs. Volk
Welcome physical education students! I am very excited to be teaching this year at Fallon Middle School. A little educational background about me, I graduated from California State University East Bay (Go Pioneers!) with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology in 2011. The following year I continued with the teaching credential program at CSU, East Bay and received my physical education credential in 2012. In the past I taught physical education for all grades kindergarten through 8th grade in East Palo Alto, and the year prior I taught middle school, as well as adaptive physical education for kindergarten in Union City. This will be my 13th year teaching in Dublin at Fallon and 14th year as a PE Teacher! At Fallon I am the coach for our incredible Hip Hop team and coach the Wrestling team. For 3 years we celebrated Tri-Valley League Championships for our Girls Wrestlers in 2017, 2018, and 2019 as well as a 6th Grade Boys Championship in 2019! This past year our 7th grade and 8th grade boys won the wrestling league championship! Last year I also was an assistant coach of the DHS Hip Hop team where they won Nationals in Vegas!
In my free time some of the hobbies I love are dance, gymnastics, running, yoga, going to the lake and wakeboarding, wake surfing, paddle boarding and cooking. Over the summer I had the opportunity to travel to Maui and led a Cheer/Dance camp for the 5th year with Vertical Sports Maui, as well as went to San Diego, Malibu and the lake! Last year I went on an epic Europe trip and got to go to the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics! I also enjoy spending time with my husband, we just recently celebrated our 13 year wedding anniversary! I am also a huge San Francisco 49ers football fan and Oakland A's baseball fan! :)
