Dan's journey began with a deep-seated love for math and science, leading him to earn a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Virginia Tech. After graduation, he dove into a dynamic career at W.L. Gore and Associates, where he spent almost 15 years working on a bunch of cool projects across various industries. Think proton exchange membranes for hydrogen fuel cells, battery separator films, and even UV curable wraps for tennis strings. Since leaving W.L. Gore to focus on family, he's been all about giving back to the community. You might find him in the classroom as a guest teacher or lecturing, working at sports events on campus, or even selling fireworks or books for a good cause.
Mithra works as a Senior Manager and holds a master's degree in Computer Science. His leadership in software development engineering is defined by an unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence in delivering features that affects millions of frontline workers. With over 10 years of experience developing mobile apps, he has championed the mobile platform transformation, enhancing user experiences and system efficiencies.
Vincent studied high-energy nuclear physics at UC Davis. After graduation, he joined LLNL to continue investigating nuclear structure in particle collider environments such as the Large Hadron Collider and the future Electron Ion Collider. He now expands LLNL's capability in nuclear data infrastructure and nuclear structure data evaluation.
James is current a Senior Product Manager with the Google Search team. He has a background in software engineering with 20 years of product management experience. James is also the City of Dublin's Poet Laureate with three published collections of poetry.
Lak Ming is a Sr. Technical Program Manager. As a results driven program management professional with skills in directing full cycles of complex, multi-site programs and initiatives, he has 20+ years leadership experience in software development and quality assurance with start-up to Fortune 500 companies. He has demonstrated success in working with cross-functional teams and building relationships with all levels of organization to drive business results, continuous process improvements, and superior customer satisfaction. He is a self-starter with an infectious “can do” attitude, Strong Business Focus, Execution Ability, Leadership, and Interpersonal skills.
Jaiveer Singh (DHS DEDA ’18) is a senior engineer at NVIDIA, where he develops accelerated software for robotics platforms. He holds dual degrees in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and Business Administration from UC Berkeley’s M.E.T. program. As a senior at DHS, Jaiveer and his team won first place in the DEDA Entrepreneurship Competition, later earning prizes at TechCrunch Disrupt SF and representing the U.S. at a Google-sponsored maker competition in Beijing.
Niro is a Strategic Programs Leader in Architecture & Software Engineering at Roche Diagnostics, specializing in Digital Health. His accomplishments include helping launch Abilify MyCite, the world’s first FDA-approved digital medicine system for tracking medication adherence in patients living with schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, and bipolar disorder. At Roche, he played a pivotal role in developing Floodlight MS, a smartphone-based tool that allows people with multiple sclerosis (MS) to monitor disease progression. Niro’s engagement with the University of California Berkeley Management, Entrepreneurship, & Technology (MET) program and his recent admission to the Master of Science in Clinical Informatics Management (MCiM) program at Stanford University reflect his deep commitment to education, leadership, and the future of healthcare.
Silvino graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Electrical Power. He currently works as an electrical engineer at Applied Materials, where he specializes in electrical engineering and construction administration. He has over 30 years of experience in the design and project management of voltage power distribution, communications systems, life safety, lighting systems, miscellaneous alarms, and monitoring systems.
Garima is an experienced product leader with experience driving innovation across enterprise and consumer tech. Passionate about delivering impactful solutions that scale and deliver user value. In her 20+ years of experience, she has learnt that high performing teams are build on strong empathetic culture.
Hi! My name is Noor Haider, I'm currently a Graduate Student pursuing a masters in Human Computer Interaction. I am working on my graduate capstone as a Product Designer at Volvo Group, and I have an upcoming role at Shure as a UX Designer.

As a Principal CAD Technician at Sandia National Labs, Adam has 7+ years of engineering design experience, ranging from designing specialized housing products, to utility trucks and auger drillers, equipment cabs from lawnmowers to 600k lb mining trucks, and aerospace applications for national defense.
Fonz Morris is an accomplished entrepreneur, investor, and educator known for his innovative contributions to the design and technology sectors. He helped Coursera grow to over 20 million users, leveraging his expertise in scaling platforms and driving impact. Later, he contributed to Netflix's growth to over 300 million users and played a key role in generating more than $3 billion in revenue. Recognized as one of Business Insider's Most Innovative Designers, Fonz is also a three-time startup founder whose ventures have made a meaningful impact on the startup ecosystem.
With an Executive MBA from Quantic and a certificate from Stanford University's prestigious Design Thinking Program, Fonz combines strategic business expertise with a deep understanding of design and innovation.
Robin is a veteran GRC and Cloud Cybersecurity leader, renowned for transforming security postures and driving organizational resilience. As a former CISO (AdaptHealth) and current CEO/CISO of EnterpriseGRC Solutions, she excels at architecting integrated security and privacy solutions, implementing complex GRC and ERP platforms, and advancing Zero Trust and DevOps principles. She holds prestigious certifications (CISSP, CISA, CGEIT, CRISC-NA) and is a pioneer in Cloud and Virtualization security. With extensive experience across diverse industries—including SaaS, healthcare, finance, and technology—Robin has consistently delivered strategic security solutions. She is also a dedicated contributor to the cybersecurity community, notably through her leadership with ISC2 East Bay and her involvement in Cloud Security Alliance projects.
Noel is co-founder and CEO of Augment, enabling investors to buy and sell shares in private companies... think Robinhood for private markets. He previously was a founding engineer at Rubrik (IPO 2024) and a Software Engineer at Google. He studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Berkeley, holds 13 patents in distributed computing, and was a published astrophysics researcher. Noel was valedictorian at DHS in 2009 and currently lives in Austin, TX with his wife, 2 kids, and golden retriever.
Jim Berry holds degrees in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. He retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 2012 after making significant contributions to the field of Information Technology (IT). During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in developing government-wide video communication resources, improving both usability and security.
Beyond his work at Sandia, Jim is an entrepreneur, an accomplished maker, and an inventor. His passion for innovation spans multiple disciplines, from IT security to bioscience, where he applies cutting-edge technologies to develop creative solutions. He also holds a patent in microfluidics.
Currently, Jim is a faculty member at Las Positas College, where he teaches drone piloting and inspires students to earn their commercial remote pilot licenses.
Sayanti is a product leader and a proud geek with over 10 years of product management experience in the e-business domain. She leads the product strategy and multiyear roadmap for hp.com shopping experience. As the Head of Product for HP.com Shop experience, she is responsible for delivering a seamless, user-focused, and secure online shopping experience for HP customers.
DSRSD Board President Arun Goel is a civil engineer (master's and bachelor's) with a focus in hydrology/hydraulics. He has experience as a flood control design engineer for the County of Alameda with in-depth understanding of watersheds, groundwater supply, drainage, and biofiltration. President Goel has served on the Dublin City Council and the Dublin Planning Commission. He also has experience in fiscal responsibility, budgetary planning, and strategic vision planning. President Goel has helped deliver successful Capital Infrastructure Projects across the United States, in aviation, highway, and mass transit infrastructure.
Brian was part of the DEDA class of 2018 at Dublin High School. In 2022, he graduated cum laude from UC Irvine with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering, where he participated in activities including Mock Trial and Computer Science Algorithms Research. He is currently a J.D. Candidate at UC Berkeley School of Law with a strong interest in patent litigation and trial advocacy. At Berkeley, Brian distinguished himself by becoming a Summer Associate at Desmarais LLP, Director of the Berkeley Law Trial Team, and Associate Editor of the California Law Review.
Sunil has 2 decades of comprehensive experience in helping startup and large enterprise adopting to data centric culture and fact-based decision making through expertise and skills in the field of data engineering, data warehousing, data architecture, data governance and data analytics. He held key leadership roles at Adtalem Global Education and other organizations, where he championed digital transformation and operational efficiency. Sunil is especially passionate about building scalable systems that create real-world impact across industries.
JT started working for PG&E directly out of college in 2008. Since then, she has held positions in PG&E's Energy Efficiency Engineering Department, served as a Commercial Account Manager in Customer Care, and joined the Gas Engineering department, where she has worked for the past 7 years.
JT currently manages a team of 3 supervisors and 18 engineers who are responsible for our gas transmission natural gas pipelines. As a manager, she works cross-functionally with other leaders, partners, and internal stakeholders to assign resources and solve problems. She also tasks her engineers with generating projects when system updates are needed and working with Integrity Management, Operations, and Construction partners to ensure our pipelines are operating safely.
Mark Guadagni graduated from DHS in 2008, where he participated in soccer, cross country, and tennis. He pursued Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley and later earned a Masters in Business from St. Mary's College in Moraga. During his MBA studies, Mark secured third place in a competitive business pitch competition. Mark worked at Zero Waste Energy LLC, a leading company specializing in renewable energy from organic waste, and Marathon Petroleum, one of the largest energy producers in the SF bay area. Fueled by his passion for the environment, he pursued a Masters in Environmental Engineering from John Hopkins University. Recently, he happily accepted a position at the Delta Diablo Water Resource Recovery Facility. Mark is delighted to witness the remarkable progress emanating from Dublin High School, which played a significant role in shaping his journey.
Sabina is currently Senior Director of Product at Panorama Education. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University in Operations Research and Information Engineering, and has over 15 years of experience in software applications, product management, and generative AI.
Rupert Young is a seasoned product and data science leader with expertise in machine learning, GenAI, big data, and fraud prevention technologies. He holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from MIT. With over 15 years of experience, he has held executive roles at startups and established tech firms. Rupert specializes in shaping product roadmaps, leading data science investigations, driving engineering development, and building strategic partnerships. He is currently the Chief Product Officer at MaxMind, where he focuses on driving innovation by working closely with data science and engineering teams.
