My role is to schedule meetings with our Parents and our Grizzell Staff and administer paperwork to maintain compliancy and ensure our students have the resources they need to be successful.
I work closely with our intervention specialist, school psychologist and our related service team.
I am a dedicated advocate for each of my students and enjoy being able to support them during these fun middle school years.
This is my 22nd year in education and I have had the pleasure of working in Dublin City Schools my entire career. It has been so rewarding for me to watch my students grow and learn both in the classroom and in the guidance office.

I feel blessed to work in a career that I am passionate about. I love working with students and helping them reach their full potential in both the academic and social-emotional realm.
This will be my 22nd year in education with a variety of experiences that include working as an elementary school counselor and teaching high school English. In 2018, I started my career at Grizzell Middle School as a school counselor, and I love being a part of the GMS staff and community.

I am the mental health provider for the building, and I work with students to help them make progress on their mental health goals on IEPs or 504 plans during one-on-one or group sessions.
I assist with mental health and behavioral support for all students in the building, and I also provide consultation with teachers, parents, and administrators for a wide range of student needs.
I am the GSA Club advisor and member of our Equity and Inclusion Committee.

My role is to assist teachers in implementing exciting, new ideas into their classroom and provide students with guidance on projects and Chromebook usage. Jay Ohlinger is married to Vanessa, Principal of the Dublin City Schools Preschool and their dog Blu is the best boy ever!
He previously taught 7th & 8th grade math and Algebra 1 for 14 years at Sells Middle School. He also coached boys basketball for 15 years and baseball for 8 years at SMS as well.
This is a second career for Mr Ohlinger. He started and worked in sales for 11+ years after receiving his undergrad degree in Business Administration from OHIO UNIVERSITY (GO 'CATS!!) and his Masters Degree in Educational Leadership is from Ashland University.
He is originally from Zanesville, OH & is a current Dublin resident (for life).

Mrs. Plymale is our District Nurse. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Medicine from The Ohio State University with a certification in respiratory therapy, as well as a Masters of Science degree in Nursing with a certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner...also from The Ohio State University.
She has been married to her high school sweetheart since 2003 and has 3 beautiful sons.
When not caring for children at DCS she enjoys reading, learning, music, cooking, fishing, hiking and exploring the outdoors. She spends a lot of time rooting for her 3 boys in sports and life, and spending time with family, friends, and her puppy.
Mrs. Plymale believes School Health is perfect for her as it is a unique blend of health promotion, disease and injury prevention, child advocacy, and education.
Mrs. Ludwig started working at Grizzell Middle School in 1999 and helps students every day in the clinic with illnesses, injuries, immunizations, daily medications, and allergies.
She resides in Powell with her husband, Dan and their dogs, Max & Murphy, and raised two beautiful children, Lauren and David who are grown and flown. This is a second career for Mrs. Ludwig. She started & worked in Banking/Finance for 20 years after earning her undergrad degree in Finance from Franklin University. When not caring for students at GMS she enjoys reading, scrapbooking, photography, gardening, Broadway Shows, traveling, cooking & walking with her dogs. She loves spending time with her family & friends and is having fun helping her engaged daughter plan her upcoming wedding.
Through the 24 years of working at Grizzell as a Clinic Aide and Building Secretary, she has come to know some wonderful families and teachers in Dublin and made many cherished friendships. Grizzell is home for her after all these years!

I've been an officer with the Dublin Police Department since 2003. My role is the safety and security of the students and staff at Grizzell. I also cover four elementary schools including Deer Run, Eli Pinney, Glacier Ridge, and Bailey. My position offers me the unique opportunity to interact with students in a positive manner and build a relationship of trust between students and police that will hopefully carry with them throughout their lives.
I am a Student Support Specialist intern from The Ohio State University College of Social Work. I am in my second year of my Masters of Social Work with a focus on youth mental health services in a school based setting. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ohio Dominican University in May of 2022 and I will complete my Masters degree in May of 2024.
I assist students with their mental health needs and provide as much support as I can so they can thrive! I am beyond excited and grateful to be back at Grizzell and have another wonderful year!
