8th Grade Team

Hello!  My name is Peggy Garrity and I am looking forward to a terrific school year!    I have been teaching math for 21 years, this year will be my 16th year at Grizzell, and  I get to teach Algebra this year.

Math and teaching are my passions! I graduated from Miami University with a degree in Mathematics and Statistics.  I have an MAT from the University of St Thomas in MN and an Educational Leadership Masters from Miami University.

My 3 kids are graduates of Dublin schools!

This will be my third year at Grizzell and my seventh year in the district. Before coming over to GMS I spent four years at Jerome. This is my second year coaching cross country here at Grizzell. I graduated from BGSU with a degree in AYA mathematics and received my master's from Otterbein in Educational Mathematics. My husband and I live an active lifestyle with our two aussiedoodles. 

Math has always been a passion of mine. I am looking forward to sharing my passion for learning with your student and helping them learn math can be fun!

This will be my 17th year teaching, and my 9th year at Grizzell. I grew up in Arizona and received a Bachelors in Education from Arizona State. Then I moved to Brooklyn and got my Masters in Publishing from New York University. I moved to Ohio thirteen years ago when my husband started work at Nationwide Insurance. We live in Dublin now with our three kids (11, 8, and 6 years old), and we love it.

I love teaching and building relationships with my students. I believe all students can grow as readers and writers, and I try to help them find joy in that process.

This will be my 6th year teaching 8th grade ELA at Grizzell. I attended Grizzell as a middle schooler and graduated from Jerome. I have a BA in English from OSU and a master's in Curriculum and Instruction. GMS is my home and happy place, and I strive to make it that way for each and every student! I am excited to explore new thinking with your 8th graders as a collective family. 

Speaking of family, my husband and I have a 3-year-old son, a 6-month-old baby girl, and two rescue greyhounds.

Hi Celts! What an exciting year we have ahead of us! I've taught Math to varying grade levels over the last 10 years.  My husband is Mr. Renner, who teaches 8th Grade Science at Grizzell! We have 3 daughters; Emily (6), Ava (3), and Lily (1). I have a passion for teaching math and helping those that struggle to feel confident in their mathematical learning. I am looking forward to working with our students to share that passion :)

This will be my 11th year teaching and my 10th year at GMS. I have a degree in Special Education from Ohio Dominican University, as well as, a reading endorsement and highly qualified status in all four core-content areas. I co-teach in language arts along side Amber Yuen and Sarah Murrey. I live in Grandview Heights with my wife and 2 cats (Biggs and Wedge), and I've recently begun learning German!

My name is Laura Fattaleh.  This is my 21st year with Dublin City Schools.  I am married to Paul and we have lived in Dublin for 34 years.  Both of our children graduated from Dublin Coffman. I am also a grandmother of 2. My initial degree was a double major - a BBA in International Marketing and Spanish from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN where I studied one year in Seville, Spain.   I returned to school at Ashland University to complete my teaching certification in the early 2000's and Master’s in 2009 where I brushed up on my Spanish while living in Cuernavaca, Mexico studying at Cuauhnáhuac Institute. I love teaching Spanish and I love 8th grade! I am grateful to be teaching at Grizzell and can’t wait to bring the hispanic world of language and culture to my students!

¡Hola! My name is Kevin Morrissey. This will be my second year teaching Spanish at Grizzell. I am originally from Mason, Ohio, down in the Cincinnati area. I graduated from THE Ohio State University with degrees in World Language Education and Spanish. I am incredibly passionate about the rich diversity of the Spanish language, along with the cultural dynamics of the Spanish-speaking world!

I teach both at Eversole Run Middle School (mornings) and Grizzell Middle School (afternoons). I am ecstatic for the year ahead and am so grateful to be here in Dublin!

Hello there! My name is Luke Renner and I will be teaching physical science and 8th grade science. I have been teaching Science at GMS for the last 7 years across multiple grade levels. My goal is that my classroom is a positive atmosphere and students look forward to coming to class. I received my bachelors from THE Ohio State University and my masters in curriculum and instruction from Western Governors University. 

My wife (Allie) of 9 years also teaches in the building and we have 3 beautiful daughters together ranging from age 6 to 1. We just moved into our new house on my family farm and love being outdoors and spending time together

Physical Science Agenda

This is my 32nd year teaching, 29th at Grizzell Middle School. Over my time here I have mostly worked in 8th grade science but also have had the opportunity to teach 7th grade science and serve as a gifted intervention specialist. I earned degrees from The Ohio State University in Education and Chemistry and a master's degree in Curriculum from Ashland University. I have an 11th-grade daughter that runs cross country and plays lacrosse. I also have a college freshman daughter that is playing volleyball at the College of Wooster while studying education and chemistry. I enjoy working outside in the gardens or with the Pygmy goats that we raise.

I hold a B.S.Ed in History Education and a M.Ed in Gifted Education from Wright State University.  I also have a M.A. in Leadership from Grace College and a Master of Social Science from Ohio University.

Hello 2023/2024 Grizzell families.  I get to be your son and daughter's social studies teacher this year!

I am in my 22nd year of teaching and all 22 years have been in Dublin City Schools.  I graduated in 2001 from Bowling Green State University.  I have taught multiple grades and subjects at Grizzell and am looking forward to another year in 8th grade social studies.  I also coach boys lacrosse at Dublin Jerome High School.

This is my 21st year in Dublin City Schools and at Grizzell Middle School.  I have a BA from the Miami University and earned my MA also from Miami University(Oxford).   

My husband Eric also teaches at GMS. Both of our children, Colton and Anya, have gone through Grizzell and now attend Dublin Jerome High School. We have been residents of Dublin for 12 years.

 Colton, a DJHS senior, is a Varsity football Captain and recently committed to Washington & Lee for football.  

Anya, a sophomore, is involved with DJHS cheer (JV football/Varsity basketball/Competition). She is also a competitive ballroom dancer and a middle school academic tutor.

Welcome to Grizzell! This will be my 6th year at GMS and my 11th year overall In Dublin City Schools. This year, I will be co-teaching 8th grade math with Allie Renner and 8th grade science with Luke Renner. I will also be available during 4th period study center for 8th grade students. 

I currently live in Powell with my wife, Carrie, and my two children, Braden (19) and London (17).
