Prerequisite: 12th Grade - Students must be 18 by the time the course is completed. Algebra II Credits: 2

This course prepares graduates to work in the real estate industry. Students learn the professional and ethical standards necessary to practice real estate in Texas. The curriculum includes knowledge of all types of real estate, legal understanding of contracts and agency agreements, practical use of contract forms, and real estate finance.

A $125 course fee is required for materials and online modules. Students who complete the course and are 18 years old would be eligible to separately pay for and take the state’s real estate salesperson licensing exam.

*This course will satisfy the pre-licensure education requirement to obtain a real estate license and includes the following Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) courses:

  • Principles of Real Estate I (#121)

  • Law of Agency (#1151)

  • Law of Contracts (#1251)

  • Promulgated Contract Forms (#351)

  • Real Estate Finance (third-party provider)
