Meet Ms. Gold

Hey Y'all… My name is Ms. Gold. This is my 4th year teaching and am excited to be apart of the Drippings Springs family. I will be teaching principles of agriculture, animal science classes, livestock production and overseeing all of the animal projects in the barn. I graduated from Tarleton State University this summer with my Master's degree in Agriculture and Consumer Resources with a concentration in Leadership. I graduated Texas State University in 2020 with honors obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture with a teacher certification. During that time I completed my student teaching experience at McNeil, Canyon and Dripping Springs High School. While attending college I also earned several certifications: Herdsman-Inseminator, Beef Cattle Pregnancy Determination, Large Animal Rescue Operations: Integrity Veterinary Medicine & First Responder, Certified to work with the IACUC (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees), Angler Education Instructor w/ Texas Parks and Wildlife. I have also attended Vet Tech and Veterinary Science continuing education courses at Texas A&M and will continue to do so. My most recent certifications are Hunter Education Certification, Master's of Beef Advocacy, Veterinary Science Teacher Training Cert and OSHA 10-hour: General Veterinary Industry Safety and Health Certification.

Along with my teaching career I am also a mother of two beautiful daughters and a grandson. They have been a true inspiration to me, providing me the strength to push through school to fulfill my passions and goals. I run a small cattle and hay business with my father which we have been working it for 11 years  now and love every minute of it. I have also volunteered for Ray Pieniazek at the 2019 National FFA convention in Indianapolis, I've judged in Area 12 and 7 for LDE and CDE events and with Texas Parks & Wildlife as a youth angler educator. I was a member of  the DS Ag booster & 4-H club when my daughter showed rabbits and was duchess of DS Rodeo! As you can see I absolutely love my career path and am excited to be a part of such an awesome Dripping Springs Ag team!! I look forward to sharing my knowledge, passion, and to encourage your students to look into the future of leadership, growth, and success.
