Gunerica Project
This project challenged me to explore real-world conflicts through multiple perspectives by combining skills from different classes. In math, we analyzed statistics and data related to conflict and propaganda, while in ELA, we conducted research and wrote informed, opinion-based essays. As a group, we chose to focus on the abortion ban, discussing and visualizing what that conflict meant to us. We then translated our ideas into a final artwork inspired by Guernica. Through this process, I learned how to connect research, data, and creativity to express meaningful issues. This project helped me better understand how different viewpoints shape conflicts and strengthened my ability to communicate ideas through both writing and visual art.
Drug Trafficking (Spanish Project)
Hannah and I conducted in-depth research on drug trafficking, focusing on how it operates, its global impact, and the dangers it poses to individuals and communities. We gathered reliable resources and organized our findings into a detailed Google Slides presentation, which we created entirely in Spanish to both inform and reach a broader audience. Our presentation included key information about how drugs are distributed, the risks associated with their use, and how easily people, especially young individuals, can be exposed to them, sometimes without even realizing it.
This topic is especially important to us because drug trafficking is a serious and often deadly issue that continues to affect communities everywhere. With the increasing accessibility of drugs, it has become easier for people to encounter or even consume harmful substances unknowingly. By raising awareness and educating others, we hope to help people better understand the risks, make informed decisions, and stay safe.
