I'm a student at Drew Charter School. I play soccer and I am the captain of the Varsity high school team. I also do competitive swim in my neighborhood. I also really enjoy playing the piano, and I have been playing for about 6 years. I am also the first chair violinist in the school Orchestra and I have been playing the violin since 4th grade. I love working with people to get stuff done, and I always try to have a good time in anything that I do.
Drew Charter School played a crucial role in shaping me into the person I am today by providing a supportive and challenging environment that encouraged both academic and personal growth. The dedication of the teachers pushed me to strive for excellence, teaching me valuable skills like responsibility, time management, and perseverance. Beyond the classroom, the school's strong sense of community and the soccer team has motivated me to take my future seriously and develop leadership qualities that continue to guide me. Through these experiences, Drew paved the way for my maturity and success, and I will always be grateful for its lasting impact on my life.
In the next step of my life, at Wofford College, I am planning on majoring in Finance. Attending Drew High School really set the foundation for my decision to major in finance in college. The teachers there always encouraged us to think critically and push ourselves, especially in classes like math and economics, which got me interested in how money works and how businesses run. My classmates also played a big role—being around other driven, motivated students made me want to challenge myself more. Playing in the orchestra taught me discipline and how to focus on long-term goals, while being on the soccer team showed me the value of teamwork, strategy, and leadership—all skills that are super important in the finance world. Altogether, Drew gave me the confidence and experiences I needed to see finance as the right path for my future.
