Theatre Program Internship

I stepped into my internship role at Drew Charter School’s theater department with the goal of creating a safe, inspiring space for middle school students to express themselves through the arts. Driven by my passion for filmmaking, set design, and film engineering, I focused on building an environment where students felt free to share their ideas and explore their creativity. I remembered what it was like to be their age full of ideas, but unsure where to put them and I wanted to be the person I once needed. Through theater, I helped them find their voice and gave them an outlet to escape, grow, and shine. This experience wasn’t just about guiding them; it was about connecting, creating, and passing on a passion that continues to shape who I am today.
