Theater Arts

My time in the theatre program at Drew Charter School has been an incredible journey over the past three years. I've had the amazing opportunity to be a part of two major productions Fame and Aladdin where I played lead roles that truly pushed me to grow as a performer. Theatre has opened so many doors for me, including a life-changing trip to New York City. While there, I participated in multiple workshops led by professional actors and directors, gaining hands-on experience and learning from some of the best in the industry. I also had the chance to see several Broadway shows, including MJ the Musical, which deeply inspired me and made me fall in love with the world of theatre all over again. Being part of the Drew theatre family has shaped me both on and off the stage, and I'm so grateful for every opportunity it's brought into my life.

Drew City Hoops

Being a part of both the Drew Charter JV and varsity teams has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my high school journey. From the practices to the games, I’ve grown not only as an athlete but also as a person. Starting on JV gave me the chance to build my skills and confidence, and moving up to varsity challenged me to push even harder. Along the way, I’ve built strong friendships with my teammates bonds that go beyond the court or field. We support each other, learn from each other, and grow together. Being on the team has taught me discipline, leadership, and the importance of showing up for something bigger than myself. It’s helped shape my character and shown me what it really means to be part of a team and a community.

Shoe Ethics Volunteer Hours

I’m proud to be actively involved in a nonprofit organization founded by my friend, called Sancho Hodges. Our mission is to give back to those in need by providing shoes, clothing, and other essentials to the less fortunate. Through this organization, I’ve had the opportunity to take part in several impactful service projects. One that really stood out was on MLK Day, when we went to downtown Atlanta to hand out meals to people experiencing homelessness. We’ve also held donation drives and collected over 300 pairs of shoes, which we were able to send to children in Africa. Being a part of Sancho Hodges has opened my eyes to the importance of service, and it’s taught me how powerful it is when young people come together to make a difference in the lives of others.
