In class, we practiced cinematography/image gathering by making a video using a series of shots. I learned how to operate a digital video camera and gained familiarity with the basic shot types used in the construction of cinema sequences. 

In groups, we were tasked with creating a one-minute short film, using only a wide shot, that tells a complete story with a beginning, middle, and end.
