The Most Heroic Step of Sundiata’s Journey

     A hero is someone who is brave , courageous but most of all  has kindness. Wonder woman is an exact example of this, she can maintain focus on his or her goals even in the face of outrageous distractions. In Sundiata's early life, he faced a lot of obstacles including  not being able to walk or talk till the age of 7, additional Sundiata step mother kicked him and his mother out of the town and into a hut. Despite his difficult childhood Sundiata became a legend by Establishing the empire of Mali, creating a constitution, and helping the needs of his people. 

    To begin, during the legend step of his most heroic journey, Sundiata establishes the empire of Mali . Establishing the empire of mali was very heroic because he left a very historic mark ,’’ Everywhere I was able to see and understand what my masters were teaching me, but between their hands I took an oath to teach only what is to be taught and to conceal what is to be kept concealed”.This was especially heroic because before there was not an empire but just broken down village and scramble people ,  he left his mark on mali for all time and yet still it still guides men in their conduct and still upholds a  legacy . His legend demonstrates heroic characteristics because he thought of a good way to bring isolated nations together and help them

      Additionally, during the legend  step of his heroic journey , Sundiata helped the needs of his people. Helping the needs of his people was very heroic . “ In their new- found peace the village knew prosperity again, for with Sundiata happiness had come into everyone’s home. Vast fields of millet, rice, cotton, indigo, and fonio surrounded the villages. Whoever worked always had something to live on, Each year long caravans carried the taxes of the kind to Niami. This was heroic because Sundiata was a hero that was feared but wanted peace and open gateways to Mali and was a remote country for many people. His legend demonstrates heroic characteristics because he care for his people and people who need it  most 

    Lastly, during the legend  step of his heroic journey, Sundiata Created a constitution. Creating a constitution was heroic because he wanted peace , order and purpose. “‘According to the Epic of Sundiata, Kouroukan Fouga or Kurukan Fuga was the constitution of the Mali Empire created after the Battle of Krina (1235) by an assembly of nobles to create a government for the newly established empire.”  Creating a constitution can be very heroic because creating a constitution outlines the purpose, structure, and limits of an organization and it especially creates a foundation . His legend demonstrates heroic behavior because when want to create a foundation and outline limits and have structure that a great characteristic of heroism 

      On the other hand,  while some people may argue that  Sundiata is not actually a hero, because he was born into royalty, the truth is , he is a legend. While it is true that Sundiatia was born into privilege, he did not have a normal childhood. Although his father wanted him to be his heir, he did not become king years after his fathers death, he had to go through many challenges to take his part in the kingdom. The characteristics that make Sundiata a great king do not come from his inherited privilege and more that he did in the later years. He established the empire of Mali , created a constitution, and helped the needs of his people. In summation Sundiata  was always destined to be a king,  he is still a hero because of the bravery and the struggle and how he overcame  struggles to do historic things.

    In summation Sundiata is the epitome of a hero because he is brave, courageous and always showed kindness throughout the years. Sundiata stood on what he knew and his morals of being kind and established the empire of Mali ,  created a constitution and helped the needs of his people. If more people knew the legend of Sundiata the world would have been a different place for minorities and Sundiata would protect the weak to fight for equal rights and fight for what is right , also to help make sure people can provide for themselves and their famili
