Hi! My name is Suri Cook, and I am a graduating senior at Charles R. Drew Charter School Senior Academy. I have been a part of Drew’s Cradle to College pipeline throughout my academic journey.
I am a student-athlete, participating in soccer and cheer.
I am actively involved in several organizations, including the National Honor Society, National Beta Club, DECA, and the National Spanish Honor Society. I also serve as a B.R.I.D.G.E. Student Ambassador for the John Lewis Foundation.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, staying active, going outside, and volunteering in my community. I plan to attend a four-year university and pursue a career in orthodontics.

I was honored to be selected as a B.R.I.D.G.E. Student Ambassador for the John Lewis Foundation during my senior year. In this role, I have grown as a leader while promoting civic engagement and social awareness among my peers. I help students use their voices, stay informed, and take action on issues that affect their communities. I have also contributed to voter registration and outreach efforts, which have allowed me to see the direct impact of increasing civic participation.
This experience has strengthened my communication skills, confidence, and sense of responsibility. It has also deepened my passion for advocacy and service. Being a B.R.I.D.G.E. Ambassador has not only allowed me to give back but has also shaped how I see my role in creating positive change in my community.
GOALS
After I graduate from high school, I plan to pursue a degree in Political Science on a pre-dental track as I prepare for a career in orthodontics. My goal is to become an orthodontist who makes a meaningful impact, someone who helps others build confidence through their smile while providing care with precision and compassion. I am passionate about using my skills to improve not only appearances, but also overall well-being. I understand the importance of access to quality healthcare, and I hope to give back by serving communities that may not always have the resources they need. I want to be the kind of professional who shows up for others and makes a lasting difference in their lives. Orthodontics is more than a career for me; it is a way to give back, uplift others, and create positive change through care and dedication.
