Density Paint Pour 8/15/22

In Chemistry, I had a paint pour activity that related to science because I would have to see which paint was the most and which paint was the least dense. In this paint pour I used orange, black, and purple so it would give off Halloween vibes. I used a regular cup and a cup with holes to pour my paint out of. I also used alcohol and my hand to thin out the paint. Lastly, I found the densest paint was orange while the least dense was black paint.

ReARTations Exploration

In class we learned how copper changes color. At first we learned that the statue of liberty was made of copper and wasn't originally green until a process called oxidation occurred. We tested this process by applying fire on copper so it would changer colors. To the left is the result of the copper after applying the heat.
