10th Grade

Element Tile

What you see here is my element tile. In a combination of Art and Chemistry classes, we made tiles dedicated to the elements we received in Chemistry.

To start I used clay to form the shape of my tile as well as its number and letters, then let it dry bisque fired it, glazed it, and let it dry again. I would say the most challenging part was forming the numbers next time I would space out my numbers before placing them.

Chemvas

My tenth-grade art class taught us how to use digital art tools. We used Sketchpad ( a digital art website) to spell out the word chemvas; we spelled this word because I combined my art and chemistry class and looked for symbols to represent both classes. I used different textures in the background of my Sketchpad to give it texture and colo

It's All Elementary

For this assignment we were supposed to use what we have learned about digital art and relate it to our periodic element. I researched what sulfur is used for then I sketched out some

ideas. The background was the hardest part mixing the background was hard to do. Getting the layers for the gunpowder was easy. Next time i think i would blur the images too.

Principle of Design

For my design I decided to focus on emphasis as my principle of design. I decided to use small circles to surround and emphasize my spiral in the middle.

I also didn't want to use color so that my piece felt more toned down like something you would see as you pass by on the street. I decided to smudge some areas of my design to feel darker in some areas and lighter in other.

The different sizes I used help to make the movement stronger in my piece.

Raelyn Rivers - Charcoal Drawings

Charcoal Drawings

For this assingment we focused on learning the basisc of Charcoal how well it works to blend certin objects, how it can make others mesh well together. We also use it to show the diffrences between ligh and dark to relly represent the value in our pieces.

Chemistry

Artist Satmentt

In my chemistry class, we used paint density to  create these works of art.

I used popsicle sticks to spread the black coat first.

Then I used a funnel and straws to spread around the yellow paint. Finally, for the white dots, I used a straw.

The Woman KIng

We went to view this movie the woman king to help us understand our pbl project.

Our topic for our PBL project was how trees connect reflect different cultural simmilartes.

Deeply Rooted

For Chemistry we

Geomentry

Stained glass

For geometry, we made stained glass works using shapes we have been learning more about in class.

I used rhombus , triangles, rectangles, and squares. This related to our deeply rooted project.

ELA

Book Presentation

Fot this project in ELA everyone in my cclas was placed into goups an told to read a Chapter of The Joy Luck Club.

We had to create a lesson based around those chapters. My group had Chapter one as well as the preface.
