"Chemvas"
This school year our Chemisty and Science class work together to make "Chemvas" in wich we do projects related to both Chemistry and art.
It's All Elementary
For this assignment we were supposed to use what we have learned about digital art and relate it to our periodic element.
I researched what sulfur is used for then I sketched out some
ideas.
The background was the hardest part mixing the background was hard to do. Getting the layers for the gunpowder was easy. Next time i think i would blur the images too.
For our PBL project our topic was how do symbols show cultural similarities and differences.
For art we researched and recreated cultural symbols from around the world.
We used the elements of art and the principles of design to influence our creations.
The google slide represents my documentation of our creative process.
Principle of Design
For my design I decided to focus on emphasis as my principle of design. I decided to use small circles to surround and emphasize my spiral in the middle.
I also didn't want to use color so that my piece felt more toned down like something you would see as you pass by on the street. I decided to smudge some areas of my design to feel darker in some areas and lighter in other.
The different sizes I used help to make the movement stronger in my piece.
Change is Gonna Come
For our final PBL project we cioombined all of our classes to awnser the question " What Global conflicts could potentil start a wolrd war", so to awnser that question we learned about current global conflicts and in art specfily lerdned about Pablo Picasso Gurnica to recreat our own. Here is me and my teams document process of doing this.
