Epic Elements Project

11/20/2020

We spent the semester working on an animation that ties together all of our core classes. We used google slides to create the video and we used our knowledge from World Lit, Spanish, Chemistry, AP World History, and Math. My groups story was about hero's who go on an adventure to find ancient treasure to help get their home town out of poverty, but they face several challenges along the way.

& spanish III update

11/13/2020

So far in class I have learned a lot of new vocabulary and improved my overall conversation skills while having fun at the same time. We have worked on vocabulary topics such as descriptions of people, travel, and celebrations. One of my favorite assignments was our Day of the Dead assignment because we got to be creative while working on it. We designed an ofrenda for someone we miss and I chose to do it on my dog. We were told to make it look how we like an incorporate aspects of your love ones life into the ofrenda with the common objcts used on this day.

1/20/21 - Spanish

This is a spanish assignment where I made a comparison of my brother and me's new year resolutions and what we should do to improve ourselves. We were told to write 10 creative sentences and add some pictures to help explain what we wrote.

Novel

2/12/21

In World Literature we wrote and published a novel! We included many aspects of what we learned so far in the year. I included flashbacks, foreshadowing, analogies, metaphors, similes, ethos, logos, pathos, and much more! My story is about a boy named Conan whose best friend, Lana, moved away and is now trying to get through high school and find a way back to her. It is called Lots of Love Lana and it is being sold on Amazon:

Spanish through the year

check-in on 5/18/21

Overall, I feel like this year was much harder than other years because of being 100% in online learning however I am proud that I still improved my Spanish skilled while not in the school building. I learned more about formating sentences along with much more new and cool vocabulary from all the units we had in this class. However, the most important thing I learned this year was how to incorporate complex components into my writing and speaking. this included phrases such as, "I think that" or "Yo pienso que" and adding extra details such as when, where, with who, why, and how. This has helped me move on from intermediate low to intermediate mid speaking and writing as well as helping me comprehend better/ more reading and listening

GSA through the year

check-in on 5/18/21

GSA stands for gay-straight alliance. This is the club that I took this year and it has been so much fun. Unfortunately, we did not get to do much to make a difference at Drew this year because of corona but we have brainstormed many ideas on what we can do next year. This year we focused on the club being a safe space to speak on our feelings and have fun, forgetting about all the stress we have from outside the club
