My name is Nasir Muhammad. I’m a 17-year-old Black male attending Charles R. Drew Charter School and a committed student-athlete. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, I have attended Drew since the fourth grade, with the exception of fifth grade, and will remain there throughout the rest of my senior year. I've participated in plenty of extracurricular activities that Drew has had to offer, such as Varsity Track and Field, B.O.N.D., Dreamers and Achievers, Peer Leadership, Book Buddies, Beta Club, Spanish Honors Society, National Honors Society, National Society of High School Scholars, and even Varsity Basketball. Through these experiences, I've discovered what my true passion is. While I enjoyed playing basketball, I’ve decided to solely focus on track as I pursue scholarship opportunities at the next level. One of my proudest moments was helping our track team win a state championship title in the 4x100 relay in 2024. With only six athletes, we defeated the odds and finished as state runners-up, which is an achievement I’m honored to have contributed to. I was also honored to be crowned as Drew's Mr. Green and Gold. This position goes to one male and one female senior, who the athletic directors believe are the faces of Drew athletics, and I am truly thankful to be given the position and to be part of the homecoming court. In my future, I plan to become a sports psychologist, majoring in psychology and potentially taking on a minor in sports management or sports medicine, all while being able to run track at the school of my choice, but as of right now, my focus and priority are to excel academically and athletically to open doors for more college opportunities.
