My series attempts to tell a story for each of the 7 deadly sins, showing both the actions and consequences that can come with such sins. I chose to theme it around the Renaissance due to the large emphasis the period placed on Christianity and the arts. I felt it was the perfect vessel to tell these stories through. My series has forced me to focus more on the artistic tools I would need to tell my story and put this Renaissance on all my art. I looked at architecture from the period and incorporated that into my work, I looked at clothes, armor, weapons- anything I thought vital to make these typical of the period. I worked quite a bit with color theory, devising pallets that were harmonious, and attempting to teach myself some basic color theory. Anatomy too was a heavy focus for some of my pieces, such as The Wrath pieces. I focused mostly on digital, because that is where I gravitate towards, but I also pushed myself to do pencil drawings.
