Using a mixture of three different colors of paint and glue, I made an art piece by pouring the paint onto the canvas and sliding it around.  Based on my end result, I made a conclusion on what paint was denser. My opinion is that the green paint is denser because it sank to the middle while the white paint flowed to the outside of the green.

In class, I burned a piece of copper to watch the reaction that occurs when fire touches it. I attached clothes pins to each side of the copper and held it over a candle but not too much to where the candle burned out. I moved the copper in different directions and it started to change colors wherever the fire hit it on the other side. When the fire touched the copper, copper oxide was produced.

I learned to use digital technology to create a word. Transparent images that relate to chemistry and art spell out the word "ChemVAS". In the typography, there are pictures of beakers, elements from the periodic table, pencils, etc. The background contains curved lines, circles, and dots.  I used different colors and brush strokes.

I used Photopea, a photo editing software, to create this artwork. I had to use a lot of different layers and tools for all the different pictures and drawings in my piece. I used the paint bucket to make the sky blue and lasso select to create the grass and bushes in the background. My element is phosphorus which is used in fertilizers so I inserted pictures of flowers to represent that. It was difficult to navigate through all the layers because every single one had something different on it. I got an idea for my chemistry animation to use flowers for my nucleus.

I drafted a tattoo design connected the culture I chose then executed it using ink.

2023 Spring Concert

I talk about how I feel towards writing my own book and what to expect from it.

I wrote an I am poem about where I come from, my childhood, etc.  I talk about my identity and what life was like for me growing up. 

My group made a rap using different figurative language and examples of them.

In groups, we created a presentation and lesson plan to teach our peers about a chapter in Joy Luck Club.

The assignment was to pretend like I was a Colombian resident. I had to plan a trip to three different Spanish speaking countries. In the slide, you will see information about the accommodations, flight tickets, and meals that I would eat if I actually went to said countries. This was all done with a $5000 budget.

In this video, I talk about one of my "hotels" in Spanish. I explain the amenities and fun things about the hotel.
