Everyone in class had to edit their bios, design a business card, design a logo, take headshots, edit a haro contract, and record a harp solo for our end of the year project.
Lauren Howard is a 10th-grade student at Drew Charter School. She is a member of the Urban Youth Harp Ensemble and has been playing for 6 years. Lauren has played gigs and concerts around the city of Atlanta, including the SLAM Atlanta Charter School Art show, the GMEA 2025 conference in Athens, GA, and performed at the Rialto Center for the Performing Arts before the MYSO concert. In addition to playing harp, Howard is an enthusiastic soccer player and is on the Drew Charter girls' varsity soccer team. Lauren and her teammates made it to the state playoffs in 2024. In her free time, Howard likes art, swimming, and baking. Lauren hopes to study Anesthesiology at the University of Georgia.
I designed a harp logo that I would use for my business card and my harp gig contract.

Reflection
The entire wedding project was very chaotic. It kept getting pushed back. I believe I did a decent job of playing and ending my part. I didn't know my whole piece, so I repeated parts a lot. Everyone did a good job on their part. I could have done better but I did a good job. I played the processional when the bride walked down the aisle. She walked slowly at first then sped up, so I had to end my piece quicker than expected.
The wedding consultation was when our class met with the theater class to discuss the project.
We discussed the different songs we were going to play and what to wear.
The aisle practice was something our class did to help us prepare for the actual wedding project.
