During our Quarter 2 PBL unit on Rocks and Soil, students explored the characteristics of rocks and soils, different types of rocks and soil, the layers of soil and how rocks are formed. As part of the unit, students were tasked with creating their own pet rock. Using their knowledge of narrative writing, they wrote imaginative Pet Rock stories to answer the question, "If rocks could talk, what stories would they tell?"
