In world history we were able to go outside and make structures. When making the mud bricks, it helped show just how much time and precision it took to make each individual stone. It gives a view on just how much effort and time was put in to create large structures and building. The bamboo gave a new feel on their architecture. Lifting, cutting twine, and build showed their hard labor. To fix and piece them together and from a sturdy structure. From this I was able to learn and experience a lot of their hard work/labor, and fully understand the time it took to get these structures done.
From learning in world history, I have learned a lot about the ancient civilizations. With this I was able to incorporate this knowledge within my epic elements project. For the project I used the civilizations as place where they would have to travel. Our hero was able to experience the life, culture, art, and lifestyle of how they lived in these times. Using art we could model the way they lived and write to give it a story. Having been able to physically make mud bricks and a bamboo structure in class really gave me a 1st hand view of the way they lived all those years ago. It was extremely helpful in the implementation of detail within the project.
