Artistic Idol Project Final ::
As an artist, I carefully chose to focus on contrast and photography due to its ability to convey emotions and evoke personal interpretations. My artwork is heavily influenced by the works of Claude Cahun, as I admire their use of contrast and focus to create depth and emotion. Throughout the creative process, I made editing decisions to enhance the overall composition, such as adjusting the color, contrast, and te to achieve the desired mood. These decisions were made with intentionality and precision, ultimately contributing to the cohesive and impactful nature of the final piece.
In this experiment we made balloons and watched them fly based off of the floating cities we learned about in class. During the 1920s, science fiction author Hugo Gernsback speculated about floating cities of the future, suggesting that 10,000 years hence "the city the size of New York will float several miles above the surface of the earth, where the air is cleaner and purer and free from disease carrying bacteria."
The Guernica PBL project focused on exploring the intersection of the second amendment and women's rights. Through in-depth research and analysis, students delved into the history and implications of the second amendment in relation to gender equality and women's empowerment. They examined how the right to bear arms has been both empowering and challenging for women throughout American history. By examining case studies and engaging in discussions, students gained a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding these issues. The project culminated in presentations that highlighted the various perspectives and arguments concerning the second amendment and women's rights, sparking important conversations and promoting critical thinking skills. Overall, the project provided students with a valuable opportunity to explore and debate this important and timely topic.
This series of projects objective was to explore tattoo designs in different cultures and use that to create our own design using values and creativity. In art class I used my thinking skills and creativity to design an arrow tattoo represented by the native american culture. This was a design inspired by native americans and their culture mixed with my own design. I chose this because it represents bravery and determination in culture and I like the design. In conclusion I would have changed the way I incorporated value but I am overall proud of my design.
The primary objective of this project was to explore the different classes assignments and understand their relation. In art class, I focused on creating a project influenced by the Columbian Exchange. To decide what to make, I researched elements from different cultures exchanged during that historical period. My techniques involved a combination of mixed media, incorporating symbols and motives representing the exchange of goods, cultures, and ideas. Reflecting on the project, some aspects worked well, such as the incorporation of diverse elements, while others faced challenges, like time constraints. Given more time, I would refine certain details and further emphasize the thematic connections.
