This Speech is about American society and how it mistreats black people and discriminates. After we talked about the American Society my partner and I went into debt into how this has affected us. My partner talks about how he is a swimmer and I talk about the hardships of playing golf in a predominantly white sport. We did this speech in front of almost 150 people and got a grade in our English class.

I felt anxious and stressed when we were faced with this writing assignment because of the tight deadline. I felt a sense of creative flow while writing and some relief when I finished. My score for evidence and commentary was 4 points. I did well providing specific evidence, consistently explaining how the evidence supports line of reasoning, focuses on specific details and supporting a argument composed of multiple supporting claims. I got the sophistication point because I crafted a nuanced argument by consistently identifying and exploring complexities or tensions. I also got it for Articulating the implications or limitations of an argument. I could improve by making effective rhetorical choices.
