Outside of Drew I participate in many activities. For instance after school for three days a week I head over to Atlanta Ballet and take dance classes. These classes consist of modern, contemporary, and Ballet. To do this I had to earn multiple scholarships and stay focused. I have held on to these scholarships and continued to earn more from 6th grade to now. Now I am apart of Atlanta Ballet's Community Ensemble, which is ran by Ms. Diane Sales. I also take piano lessons and go to do community service at my local church. Another hobby I have is reading and writing, and it is one of my favorite activities.
At the age of 5 I began taking piano lessons at the Georgia Academy of Music. Since then I have improved in many areas due to the fact that I get to practice every saturday morning and the many recitals I learn from. Most of my performances can be found on the youtube channel my mother set up when I first started to track my progress. The video shown is one of my favorite recital pieces I have performed beside my teacher, Ms.Victoria Alexandria.
This was my last performance with Atlanta Ballet's Ailey Camp which was titled: Imagination
This year there wasn't much I could do because of quarintine and covid restrictions so I took a break on dancing and decided to put more of my attention into sports. The sport I chose to play this year was tennis, and I was able to become the captain of the varisty girl's team.
Although we didn't win at regionals, many of my teamates were new and we all worked hard and made so much progress. On awards day I recieved the "Leadership Award" and I can't wait to see how far we'll go next year!
