(2020-2021)
This year has opened me up to new challenges and new experiences. My classes are more rigorous and full of the exploration of my imagination. I have learned to adapt to my new work environment and to also understand more about myself in a controversial world.
This year our Pbl focused on: Epic Elements
Driving Question: How are social injustices created?
Problem Statement: How can we as authors and artists use the knowledge gained from our courses to educate younger audiences about the untold injustices of ancient civilizations?
In each class we focused on specific topics pertaining to this driving question and incorporated it into our STEAM- based Curriculum. Using Geometry, Spanish, Chemistry, Art, World literature and History in groups we were able to create a stop motion story that focused on the driving question of how social injustices are created.

This year a big project that we did was "Write your Best Seller". The goal of this project was to create our own book, that incorporates all of the literature techniques we learned during the school year. My book "The kids are alright" is a about a young girl who is getting ready to transition from high school to the real world.

Overall I'd say this year has been eventful. I have learned to express myself creatively and participated in discussions that in the beginning of the year I'd never think to participate in. My friends and I have called this year, " The year of Progress". Last year we learned more about ourselves and what we choose to stand for, but this year we were focused on what these new changes meant to us, and how we want to move forward. We had to think about what we want to do with the information we learn, and how we could use said information to help our communities. Personally I had to make some changes within myself this year so I was able to understand more about the world around me. There was a few ups and plenty of downs and although it wasn't the best year, I definitely did learn a lot.
