The four body tissues are nervous, epithelial, connective, and muscle. All the tissues are similar in helping the body function correctly. Nervous tissue controls communication and regulation. Epithelial tissue covers the body surface and are the glands that secrete things. Endocrine means products secreted internally. Exocrine means products secreted externally. Connective tissue insulates the body and withstands tension. Finally, muscle tissue controls voluntary and involuntary movements.
My experience in esports has been very different, but in a good way. Not many people can say they are putting a computer together piece by piece. Today some classmates added the Graphics Processing piece (White) to the motherboard. we also attached the power supply (Block box).
There are many ways a neuron is similar to a tree. For example, trees have leaves that can capture the energy from the sunlight. They then turn that energy into food through the process of photosynthesis. Similarly to leaves, neurons have dendrites that have protrusions called dendritic spines. Their job is to catch signals from other neurons. The leaves come off the tree's branches just like spines come off the dendrites to provide. The trunk of the tree is like the axon of the neurons because they are the main channel for transmitting essential resources. Tree trunks transmit water and nutrients while axons transmit electrical signals. The bark on trees is comparable to the myelin sheath because they both provide protection and insulation. The roots of a tree branch out into the ground for stability and to collect information, the same way the axon terminal spreads out to send information to different neurons. While trees and neurons have similar-looking structures, they have different functions.
We joined server on fortnite that had a black history museum in it. I leardned that Tony Barnes is a game developer with over 30 years of experience. He has contributed to the development of many games because of his expertise in design, programming, and leadership. His work has earned him recognition due to his advocacy to diversity in the gaming community.
The broadcaster did a good job debriefing what point in the tournament they were in. He also thoroughly explained what was going on for the people who don't know about the game. The tournament was still kind of confusing. I noticed that each team had like 3 characters get banned. If I were streaming/ broadcasting, I would also be sure to break everything down that has happened to ensure people are up to date.
Drew had STEAM day about a week ago and esports had a whole tournament event. While I wasn't in attendance, I listened to my class's feedback. A few students suggested that there be more game options next time, I believe they only had 2k available. On a more positive note, some students said that the event had great engagement especially compared to the other STEAM sessions.
The question posed was, "If you had to lose 1 sense, which would you give up and why?"
If I had to lose one of the eight human senses, I would choose to give up taste. Your gustatory sense controls how your brain receives and interprets sensations in your mouth including texture, bitter, sweet, salt, and sour. While it would be sad to give up the taste of food, I would still get the sensation of smelling the food. I'd rather lose my sense of taste than lose my capacity to communicate, navigate, see, touch, physically function, or proprioception.
