3A- Film/Video
We practiced cinematography/image gathering by making a series of shots in a standard-definition video. We learned how to operate a digital video camera and get familiar with the basic shot types used in the making of cinema sequences. Each shot had to be at least 5 seconds and no longer than 15 seconds.
4A- AP Language
My class made a presentation saying AI should be customized to fit classrooms because while it does hinder work ethic, it is also a great study tool. The whole class worked together to present for our principal and head of school. We were in competition with the other AP Lang classes
For this project, we had to pick a song that we felt was the Greatest Of All Time. I chose "Be Free" by J. Cole which was written in response to another police shooting an unarmed black boy (Michael Brown) and said, “...I’M TIRED OF being desensitized to the murder of black men..." We then had to analyze the songs for ourselves by identifying 3 literary devices.
1B- Advanced Mixed Chorus
For this performance, we sang 2 songs: O Lux Beatissima and Cover Me With the Night. The day as a whole was pretty hectic but our performance was good. I liked aspects of both songs. O Lux was more complex to sing but I liked the soprano section. Cover Me was slightly easier to sing and was more fun because it had a faster tempo.

The project was to make a slideshow and infographic with detailed information about what goes on during trafficking. My specific conflict was drug trafficking. Our article was about how 5 drug groups on the borders control organized crime in Latin America and put the whole region at risk from 2016 to 2024. It’s important because trafficking (specifically drug trafficking) causes many deaths so that organized crime groups can maintain control. The crisis is very unfortunate. It's unfortunate because people (especially women) are in dangerous environments. I don't like the violence involved with drug trafficking. The criminals need to be stopped. I can help by raising awareness of the problem.
