For my geometry final, I made stained glass. I created my shapes on a piece of graph paper and measured their lengths, angles, and diagonals. After doing this, I traced the shapes on the glass and colored them in as well. The inspiration for my design was just a flower. The 3 elements of art I incorporated were color, shape, and line. The principles of design I incorporated were repetition, variety, and pattern. What we did connects to what we've been learning as we have been working on proofs by the parallelograms we made and how we have to prove them in the final part of our project. It also connects because we usually use a few of these shapes in our proof process.
This is the animation that I made, which is connected to geometry. Transformations were applied to my animation in multiple ways. With dilations, my characters would enlarge and shrink according to how far away or up close they are. For example, if my character were walking toward the screen, she would get bigger, creating a visual where the size changes. With reflections, the talking bubbles constantly flipped to match which side a character would talk to. To add to this, certain magic touches would make my characters flip around. In translations, my characters would use this transformation to move around naturally and look like they’re walking. Lastly, I included rotations when my characters walk from different angles, making it easier for them to walk from different places.
