My name is Elias Tucker. I am a senior at Charles R Drew Charter School and have been at Drew since pre-k. Some of my hobbies are playing golf, hanging out with friends & family, and spending time outdoors. For the last 12 years, I have been a competitive gymnast and have attained many accolades and achievements along the years.
I am ranked number 1 in the state of Georgia for 17-18 Year olds and Top 10 in the Nation as well. Since 9th grade, I have been a harpist in the Urban Youth Harp Ensemble and am also a member of National Honors Society and Beta Club.
I am also very involved in the community of East Lake & Kirkwood. For volunteer service, I've worked with Trees Atlanta and Roswell Area Park, restoring ecosystems and conservation areas around the Atlanta and Midtown Area.
From a young age, I have learned that success is not only measured by medals or titles, but by perseverance, leadership, and the ability to uplift others along the way. Growing up in a close community that emphasized respect, responsibility, and looking out for one another shaped the person I am today. These values, combined with my experiences as a competitive gymnast, student, and mentor, have prepared me to contribute meaningfully to the real world.
After Graduating from high-school, I plan to attend The Ohio State University continuing my athletic and academic career majoring in Sports Industry. While my long-term career path is still evolving, my passion for sports is unwavering. I aspire to work in the sports industry, potentially with organizations such as the PGA Tour, in sports apparel and fashion design, or in marketing and business roles that support athletes. I am eager to explore these interests at Ohio State, where academic rigor, innovation, and athletics intersect.
One of my biggest goals is to become an asset for my team and become a Big 10 or Ncaa Event Title Winner. This past September, I committed to The Ohio State University to continue my gymnastics career becoming a division one athlete. At The Ohio State University, I aim to be more than just a student-athlete. I want to be a leader, a mentor, and a positive force within the community. With my outgoing, compassionate, and driven nature, I am confident I can make a lasting impact—both on campus and in the real world.
