i chose this work because this is the homework practice that got me through the year. it showed that i knew how to work out my problems. this work relates to the standards because after learning a certain standard, we would go practice and do homework on ixl. i want my teacher to know that i tried really hard on these ixl's.
Completed Study Guides
i chose this work because these guides helped me through my test. it showed that i knew what i was doing. this work relates to the standard because for each standard there's a study guide for the test. i want my teacher to know i really appreciate these study guides especially on test.
Completed and Graded Pop Quizzes
i chose this work because this is what helped me with practicing certain topics. it showed that i could learn and wanted to understand the process. this work relates to the standard because anytime we would have a test for the standard, it would help me get ready for it and help look over it. i want my teacher to know that the pop quizzes help me understand better.
Newton's Rocket
I made this rocket by taking an empty water bottle and taping straws to the sides, so the straws could hold up the bottle.
The rocket failed because we didn't sit it down right fast enough. One element of art we used is space because we need a lot for when it launches up, One step from design process we used was research because we watched a video to figure out how to do it, and one principle of design we used was movement because this project required a lot of movement.

Newton's cradle
i made this cradle by hot gluing popsicle sticks to build a base and then glue gunned strings onto marbles and taped it to the base lined up evenly.
The cradle was successful, we just needed a little for stable base. one element of art we used was form because this took a big place in our base, one step from design process we used was research because we watched a video based on how to make it, and one principle of design we used was balance because we had to balance all the balls together so the cradle would work right.
IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
For our 9th grade immersive experience, my part of the project was Social Media. I had to spread word to social media such as tik-tok to persuade viewers to come visit our immersive experience. In this project, I worked with Brooklynn Caruth and Jayda Saddler, we made a tik-tok account together, made creative videos promoting our PBL project and actually blew up off of it. We incorporated water into it by using water sounds or sounds related like the song "MOP". I'm most proud that we actually got somewhere with this project and it was a very fun experience! I don't think I would've changed anything but maybe posting more consistent about the Immersive Experience.
