ARTIST STATEMENT
I chose my artist because his artwork really stood out to me. It was very simple but had a good meaning purpose behind it. The circles were a reminder that each moment is not just the present, but is inclusive of our gratitude to the past and our responsibility to the future. It can shape our consciousness and inspire our actions. Also the japanese caught my attention as well. My artwork is related because I chose to do his circles with different colors and make it pop more, I made my art all with ink and rice paper and I think it was a great decision. I also did the japanese calligraphy and used more ink to design around the calligraphy.
In conclusion, I think my artwork came out very similar yet very different from Tanahasi and I really enjoyed this.
Experimenting with Shapes to create Movement
In this assignment I had to create 3 dynamic compositions on 3 slides on Google slides. Each slide had to use at least 3 lines demonstrating movement, and include at least 3 shapes. One shape/picture must be in a focal area using the Rule of Thirds.
Art can be many things. Art is defined as the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination. So art can be anyone's imagination and way to be creative. Art can be a collection of things like newspapers, faces, or even trash. Art is what you make it to be, just be creative!
