1. Focus in Extended Advisory sessions on HS requirements, options and university courses during Grades 9 and 10

2. Information sessions led by teachers about course choices during January

3. Teacher recommendations are collected for every student by January

4. Options evening 

5. During the portfolio conferences each student/family will have an additional meeting with a member of the careers team to discuss their options.

6. Students then complete an options form. If you are on track to meet requirements based on your Semester 1 grades - great, if not - meetings held with parents/student as needed.

7. A letter is sent to each student confirming their provisional placement on their courses.

8. Advice is available throughout Semester 2 from subject teachers and careers team.

9. Semester 2 grades will confirm placement, hopefully! If not, meetings are arranged.
