What is the difference between SL and HL in both subjects?

HL students have more contact time every week (SL4 - HL 5.5) and are expected to go into more depth in certain parts of the course and create more projects.

How can taking an art course help me in the future?

Any art course fosters creativity, lateral thinking and the soft skills required in various subject fields. Also, many professions are linked to the arts or have artistic disciplines embedded within them.

Are the arts easier to get a good grade?

No, they require time, energy and commitment. They have strong conceptual and academic components to them. However, the application and expression of knowledge are more individualized and give students a creative space.

Do I have to be good at drawing to be successful in VA?

No, there are many art forms, techniques and media to develop technical competence and to purposefully express individual intentions.

Do have to be good at performance to take Theatre?

No, the TA course has many components to it, including designing, directing and dramaturgy.

Will there be any performances in real theatres?

Yes, as long as COVID restrictions are not in place.

Is MYP PA mandatory to enter DP Theatre?

It is not mandatory but MYP PA grade 10 is good preparation for the DP TA course.
