Told through an American folk and jazz inspired score, Hadestown: Teen Edition retells the classic greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice through an industrial lense, with themes of love, loss, and corruption flowing through every catchy verse and tune.

The unassuming location of a dock extending out onto a small lake serves as the backdrop for five different stories. The entire ensemble gathers on the dock together for the final scene. In a poetic epilogue, they all discover the true meaning of Our Place - both comedic and tragic.

This year we are bringing back DSA Theatre's participation in The 24 Hour Plays for the 2nd year in a row!!
The 24 Hour Plays (est. 1995, Mark Armstrong, artistic director; Madelyn Paquette, managing director) bring together creative communities to produce plays and musicals written, rehearsed, and performed in twenty-four hours. Through our radically present approach to theater, we make work that responds immediately to the world around us, builds communities and generates new artistic partnerships that extend throughout the arts and entertainment industry. Our events include The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway and The 24 Hour Musicals, as well as partner productions in Athens, Denver, Dublin, Finland, Florence, Germany, Little Rock, London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Sacramento, San Francisco, Savannah and more.
